Temporary Daycare Assistant

The Lycée Français de San Francisco is currently seeking qualified applicants for a temporary Day

Care/Support Staff position for the period of October 15, 2026 to March 15, 2027.

This position is based at our Ashbury campus in San Francisco.

The Lycée Français de San Francisco is a French Immersion College Preparatory School in the San

Francisco Bay Area. We provide a challenging educational environment based on the French national

curriculum and English classes based on the California Common Core from PS-12th grade. Our

curriculum is designed to provide students with a well-structured, well-assimilated body of general

knowledge while encouraging the development of analytical and critical thinking skills. Our students earn

an American high school diploma, as well as prepare for the French Baccalauréat, which qualifies them

for both American and European Universities.

The Day Care Assistant & Support Staff is responsible for general supervision, safety and well-being of

the children during recess, lunches, and day care times. He/she oversees students and maintains order

and safety on the playground, school grounds, lunchroom, multipurpose room and other designated

areas.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during playtimes and lunchtime, and maintain a harmonious atmosphere by

encouraging peaceful conflict resolution.

• Maintain the students’ safety during the activities and ensure that all spaces are secure and safe.
• Anticipate any potential accident and report any injury to the designated supervisor.
• Make sure that all students are picked up by their relative teachers after recess and lunch and

that any student is not unattended or alone.

• Report to teachers and directors any problem or incident happened to a child during recess,

lunch or day care.

• Inform the Principal of any conversation relative to the functioning of the recess, lunch or day

care.

• Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• ECEs required.
• Experience in private schools or education is preferred but not mandatory.
• Energetic and enthusiastic.
• Patient and respectful to children and parents.
• Knowledge of French is preferred but not required.

Start Date: October 15, 2026

End Date: March 15, 2027

Status: Temporary Part-Time, Non-Exempt Position

Location: Ashbury Campus, San Francisco

Candidates with 1 to 3 years related experience in the education field can anticipate a monthly
salary, ranging from: $ 5,271 to $ 5,422 for 32h30 (32.5) hours per week (based on current
Salary Grid). The salary offered to the successful candidate will be dependent on several
factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience in the job, type
and years of experience in the industry, education, etc. Lycée offers a negotiated salary range.
