Temporary Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Oakridge Homes is seeking experienced, dependable, and adaptable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for a temporary assignment at one of our residential locations in the Grand Rapids, Minnesota area.

We are looking for professionals who bring strong direct support experience, can adapt to varying individual needs and routines, and have the scheduling flexibility necessary to meet the needs of the home.

Position Details

• Pay: $30.00 per hour

• Duration: Approximately 1–3 months

• Location: One residential location in the Grand Rapids, MN area

• Schedule: Flexible availability required for various shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends

• Employment Type: Temporary

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with disabilities.

• Assist with personal care, daily living activities, and household routines.

• Follow individual support plans and established procedures.

• Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation following required training.

• Demonstrate adaptability to changing individual needs while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Communicate effectively with individuals, coworkers, and supervisors.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience required.

• Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying individual needs, routines, and support requirements.

• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and follow established support plans.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

• Flexibility to work various shifts based on the location’s staffing needs, including evenings, overnights, and weekends.

• Ability to successfully complete all DHS-required orientation, training, and background study requirements.
