Temporary Full-Time Deli Team Member

Location: Kellys Spar Cookstown
Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week
Contract: Temporary – 3 months
Working Pattern: Rotational shifts, Monday–Sunday

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Deli Team Member to join our busy food counter and salad bar team on a temporary 3-month basis.

This is a varied, hands-on role, working across our hot food counter and salad bar. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, preparing and serving food, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and providing excellent customer service.

There may be an opportunity for a permanent position within the group following the initial 3-month period, however, this will be dependent on operational requirements and business needs and cannot be guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing ingredients and carrying out daily food preparation
• Cooking and presenting food for our hot food counter
• Preparing and maintaining our salad bar
• Serving customers in a friendly and efficient manner
• Keeping food counters, preparation areas and equipment clean and well organised
• Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock rotation
• Completing basic record keeping and daily checks
• Working as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the deli
• Supporting with general duties as required

About You

• Previous experience in a deli, café, restaurant, food counter or similar environment is desirable
• A genuine interest in food and customer service
• Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Reliable, punctual and well organised
• Friendly and approachable with good communication skills
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Comfortable carrying out practical tasks including food preparation and cleaning
• Flexible and willing to work a rotational shift pattern across Monday–Sunday
