Temporary HR Manager

Position Description:

Temporary HR Manager | North Kansas City Manufacturing Company

October–February | Onsite 4 Days/Week

Lever1 has been retained to recruit a Temporary HR Manager for a 200+ employee manufacturing company in North Kansas City. This position will provide onsite HR leadership while the current HR Manager is on a leave of absence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day HR support across multiple locations and a three-shift operation.
• Partner with managers on employee relations, performance management, policies, and HR best practices.
• Manage employee relations issues and workplace investigations through resolution.
• Lead full-cycle production recruiting and oversee outsourced recruiting resources.
• Support benefits, onboarding, offboarding, and other employee lifecycle activities.
• Maintain new hire documentation, including pre-employment requirements, offers, verifications, and onboarding.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, EEO, Title VII, and ERISA.
• Support employee engagement, safety, and other HR initiatives and projects as needed.

Position Details:

• North Kansas City location
• Approximately 200+ employees
• Onsite 4 days per week, approximately 6–8 hours per day
• Must have flexibility to support a multi-site, three-shift manufacturing environment
• Temporary assignment: October through February
