Semcac Head Start is seeking caring, dependable, and energetic individuals to join our team as a Temporary Paraprofessional. This full-time temporary position plays an important role in supporting children, families, and classroom staff while helping create a positive and nurturing learning environment for preschool-aged children.

Job Details

• Position: Head Start Temporary Paraprofessional
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary Program Year
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Location: Kasson, MN

As a Temporary Paraprofessional, you will work closely with the Head Start Teacher to support daily classroom operations and provide quality learning experiences for children.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and instruction
• Preparing classroom materials and learning activities
• Supporting a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Performing daily classroom cleaning and janitorial duties
• Attending required staff meetings and training sessions
• Following established safety procedures
• Modeling Semcac's Code of Conduct and Behavior Guidance practices
• Assisting with transportation activities as needed
• Supporting family engagement and respecting diverse cultures, languages, and values
• Maintaining confidentiality and fulfilling mandated reporter responsibilities

Required:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• CPR and First Aid Certification, or willingness to obtain
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable transportation
• Reliable attendance
• Ability to successfully complete required background checks and health screenings
