Temporary Pharmacist (4 Week Contract)

Job Overview

Join our care team as a Temporary Pharmacist for a four-week contract. You’ll support safe, responsive patient care by reviewing medication needs, preparing and dispensing medications, and communicating clearly with patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assess medication needs, support medical management, and provide patient service, counseling, and medication administration guidance.
• Use pharmacy software, Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), and electronic medical and health record (EMR/EHR) systems to document care and coordinate with clinical teams.
• Maintain inventory and pharmacy operations while following state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation, healthcare compliance, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements, and clinical confidentiality policies. Your impact: Careful medication review and clear communication help patients and care teams make informed, safer treatment decisions.

Qualifications

• Required: Current authorization to practice as a pharmacist in the applicable jurisdiction; strong patient care, patient assessment, customer service, and client communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, medication safety, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance; familiarity with Basic Life Support (BLS) requirements where applicable.
• Preferred: Clinical pharmacy, critical care, acute care, community, or long-term care (LTC) pharmacy experience; pharmacy residency; experience managing pharmacy teams or technicians.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
