Temporary Returns Assistant

Job Summary
Join our team as a Returns Assistant, where your energy and attention to detail will drive the seamless processing of returned goods. In this vital role, you will be supporting the Returns and Quality Manager through our Peak Season, you will also manage the efficient handling, inspection, and restocking of returned items, ensuring our inventory remains accurate and ready for resale.

This role is a temporary position for 3 months (November-January), at £12.71 per hour for 40 hours per week.

The role is based full-time at our Kings Lynn office located on the North Lynn Industrial Estate.

Job Description

• Assist in receiving, logging, and processing customer returns in accordance with company procedures.
• Inspect returned products for condition, completeness, and eligibility for refund, replacement, or repair.
• Ensure all return information is accurately recorded in our internal systems.
• Prepare items for restocking, refurbishment, or disposal as required.
• Communicate with the customer service department regarding the status of the customer return, including any additional information that may be needed.
• Resolve routine return-related issues and escalate complex cases to the Returns & Quality Manager.
• Maintain organised records of returns, credits, and related documentation.
• Assist the Returns & Quality Manager with generating reports and tracking return trends.
• Support the team in ensuring compliance with warranty guidelines, quality control checks, and company standards.
• Work closely with the third-party warehouse, customer service, and new product development teams to ensure smooth return workflows.
