Position Description

At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. We are seeking a Temporary Senior Scientist to join our Analytical and Biological Mass Spectrometry (ABMS) Group, supporting analytical and bioanalytical development on protein therapeutics and other novel modalities in a diverse pipeline. In this role, you will develop and optimize LC-MS related methods for structural characterization, while collaborating with a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team. Roles Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (LC-MS) related methods for structural characterization of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and other modalities
• Perform analytical testing and sample preparation with a focus on LC-MS related methods
• Independently conduct sample preparation and LC-MS analyses in compliance with SOPs or drafted protocols, and document experimental procedures and results in an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN)

Skills

• PhD, BS or MS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field
• 0-7 years of relevant hands-on laboratory experience in analytical chemistry or bioanalytical sciences
• Strong hands-on experience with liquid chromatography (e.g., reversed-phase, size-exclusion, ion exchange chromatography), particularly HPLC or UPLC techniques
• Ability to communicate effectively about technical challenges and results, and to work independently after initial guidance
• Hands-on experience with various types of biological matrices
• Hands-on experience with fractionation, solid phase extraction, and/or hybridization techniques
• Mass spectrometry experience (candidates with strong chromatography skills are prioritized)

Education

• PhD, BS or MS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field
