Temporary Store Refresh Associate and Tagger

Looking for short-term work? Spence Hardware & Supply is hiring temporary Store Refresh Associate and Tagger to help replace shelf and merchandise labels as we transition to a new warehouse supplier.

This temporary position is expected to last 3–4 months and requires a strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail. You’ll work alongside our store team to ensure products are properly labeled and easy for customers and employees to locate.

What you’ll do

Match new labels to the correct products and shelf locations.

Remove old labels and neatly install replacements.

Verify item numbers, descriptions, and label placement.

Report missing labels or product mismatches to store staff.

Keep work areas organized and aisles accessible to customers.

Work courteously around customers and help direct questions to store staff.

What we’re looking for

Strong attention to detail and the ability to compare numbers accurately.

Dependability, punctuality, and consistent attendance.

Ability to follow instructions and maintain accuracy during repetitive tasks.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Comfort reading small print.

Ability to perform work involving standing, walking, bending, and reaching, with reasonable accommodation.

Retail experience is helpful, but no prior experience is required. We’ll provide training.

Position details

Duration: Approximately 3–4 months.

Start date: As soon as possible

Schedule: Monday through Friday day times

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
