Temporary Studio Support Coordinator

BARN is hiring a temporary Studio Support Coordinator. This is a full-time position with benefits for a 6-month period. The location is in-person at BARN’s Bainbridge Island facility.

Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network (BARN) is a thriving community that brings together people, tools, learning, and inspiration in a welcoming space to create, collaborate and connect. Our mission is to foster community through craft, learning, and service. To accomplish that mission, we:

• Maintain a well-equipped facility with a variety of craft studios,
• Provide public access to all studio spaces,
• Teach classes to build skills and relationships, and
• Support community organizations through community service projects.

Our staff of 15 works with hundreds of volunteers to produce more than 3,000 classes and events, provide open studio access for over 6,300 hours each year, and to maintain a world-class public-access facility.

The temporary Studio Support Coordinator will be a member of BARN’s programming team and report to the Operations Manager. We’re looking for detail-oriented candidates with strong organizational and communication skills who enjoy learning new software systems and feel comfortable balancing competing demands.

This is a temporary, full-time, in-person, hourly position with standard business hours, Monday through Friday. Some evening and weekend support for special events may be required. Benefits include health benefits, paid sick time, and a BARN family membership.

Responsibilities:

• Review, configure, and post classes and events in BARN’s online catalog using BARN’s class management software, working collaboratively with studio volunteers.
• Register students and process payment for walk-ins, phone, or email registrations; respond to tuition assistance requests.
• Process changes to classes and registrations, including cancellations, rescheduling, refunds, and waitlist management.
• Monitor shared inboxes, address inquiries, and resolve issues.
• Generate reports for studios to provide class statistics, survey feedback, and other information.
• Manage financial information using BARN’s software systems; assist studio volunteers in developing class pricing and budgets, as requested.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with computers, email, spreadsheets, and office software.
• Able and willing to quickly learn and master BARN’s software systems.
• Strong customer-service orientation, communication, and time-management skills.
• Able to accurately enter and manage data; able to proofread / correct errors.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree is a plus.
• Open to candidates from all backgrounds and career stages.

Pay Range: $22 to $24 per hour, depending on experience.
