Temporary/Contract IV Technician/Infusion technichian/EMT/CMA

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented IV Technician to join our healthcare team. This can be EMT, MA with on site training and experience, IV technichian or Infusion technician. This is a temporary/PRN role, contract 1099 pay. Attendance will be needed mostly for training asap and the entire month of Decemeber.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing and administering intravenous (IV) medications and infusions, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. Your expertise in aseptic technique, medication administration, and patient care will directly contribute to positive health outcomes. Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer IV infusions with precision, following strict aseptic techniques to prevent contamination.
• Assist healthcare providers with medication intake, ensuring accurate medication delivery and documentation.
• Monitor patient responses during IV therapy, promptly addressing any adverse reactions or complications.
• Maintain accurate records of all IV procedures, medication administration, and patient interactions in compliance with hospital protocols.
• Support patient service by providing compassionate care, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout treatment.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to verify medication orders and ensure proper storage and handling of IV supplies.
• Adhere to infection control standards and safety procedures in all aspects of IV preparation and administration.
• Additional responsibilities include medical assisting, documenting in EMR, inventory, ordering, precertification.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in IV infusion techniques, aseptic procedures, and medication administration.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, acute care processes, and infusion protocols.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent patient service with a focus on patient care and safety.
• Experience with intake procedures and managing complex medication schedules in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification as a IV techician, EMT or relevant healthcare credential is required.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
