TENDER AND COSTING ENGINEER

About the role

As a Tender and Costing Engineer at CBH Engineering Sdn Bhd, you will play a critical role in the company's success, responsible for preparing competitive bids and tenders for construction projects. Based in our office in Shah Alam, Selangor, this is a full-time position that will see you collaborate closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and other key stakeholders to ensure the company submits winning proposals.

What you'll be doing

1. Analyse construction drawings, specifications, and other tender documents to accurately estimate project costs and resource requirements
2. Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, quotations, and tender submissions that meet clients' requirements and timelines
3. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, new technologies, and potential cost-saving opportunities
4. Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and availability
5. Support the project management team during the tender evaluation and contract negotiation stages
6. Monitor project costs and margins, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains
7. Continuously look for ways to enhance the company's tender and costing processes

What we're looking for

1. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in a tender or cost engineering role within the construction industry
3. Proficiency in using construction estimating software,
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
6. Familiarity with construction contracts, regulations, and industry best practices
7. Motivated self-starter with a proactive and collaborative approach
