Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Tender Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing tender documents, preparing technical and commercial proposals, coordinating with relevant departments and suppliers, and ensuring the timely and accurate submission of competitive bids in accordance with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze tender invitations, requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.
• Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions in accordance with project requirements and submission deadlines.
• Conduct quantity take-offs, prepare bills of quantities (BOQs), and support cost estimation and budgeting.
• Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Coordinate with the engineering, procurement, project management, and finance teams to collect the information required for tender submissions.
• Prepare tender clarifications, technical queries, compliance statements, and supporting documentation.
• Analyze project costs, materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing to develop competitive bids.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, tender requirements, and applicable UAE regulations.
• Identify potential project risks, contractual conditions, and commercial opportunities.
• Maintain an organized database of tender documents, quotations, cost estimates, and submission records.
• Monitor tender announcements and identify new business opportunities through relevant portals and client networks.
• Follow up with clients regarding submitted tenders, clarifications, and bid results.
• Assist in preparing technical presentations and attending pre-tender meetings or site visits when required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Arabic nationality
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, depending on the company's business activities.
• Proven experience in tendering, estimation, or bid preparation within the UAE construction or contracting industry.
• Good knowledge of tendering procedures, BOQs, cost estimation, and technical documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PDF documentation tools.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and estimation software is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with UAE construction practices and local tender submission requirements.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working with construction, MEP, infrastructure, or engineering contracting companies in the UAE.
• Experience using government and private-sector tender portals.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contract conditions and commercial risk assessment is an advantage.
• UAE driving license is an advantage, if site visits are required.
