Role Overview.

The Tender Manager plays a key role in developing technically sound and commercially competitive proposals that address customer pain points and business objectives. This role combines deep technical expertise with a customer-centric mindset to ensure AZO’s solutions provide maximum ROI and long-term value. The Tender Manager works closely with Sales, Engineering, Sourcing, and Purchasing to deliver tailored, competitive tenders that drive growth and profitability in Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities.

• Receive and evaluate all project-relevant information (checklists, specifications, and customer requirements).
• Lead the development of system designs in collaboration with the system design team.
• Consult with Engineering, Head of Sales, HQ, Sales Managers, or vendors to ensure technical accuracy and process knowledge.
• Perform detailed calculations and document system design processes (VPCC, component sizing, etc.).
• Delegate and review design tasks including PFD creation, specification sheets, SAP calculations, and vendor information.
• Collaborate closely with Sourcing and Purchasing to define specifications for high-value or highly technical equipment.
• Translate customer challenges and KPIs into system solutions, ensuring each proposal addresses pain points with measurable business value.
• Develop ROI, TCO, and business case analyses to demonstrate solution competitiveness and long-term benefits.
• Work with the Sourcing Team to standardize workflows, identify alternative suppliers, and improve cost-efficiency while maintaining quality.
• Implement lessons learned and customer feedback loops to continuously improve system design standards and proposal competitiveness.
• Ensure timely submission of complete and accurate proposals that meet internal quality standards.
• Support Sales Team during customer meetings and presentations with technical expertise.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to the system design team and coordinate task prioritization with the Head of Sales.

Occasional Tasks.

• Represent AZO at exhibitions, conferences, and customer events.
• Contribute to recruitment system design and onboarding of new technical staff.

Qualification.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in system design, tendering, or project sales for automated raw material logistics.
• Strong understanding of customer production processes, enabling value-driven solution design.
• Strong knowledge of industrial systems and automation principles.
• Proven expertise in process design, proposal development, and technical calculations.
• Ability to deliver standardized yet customizable solutions to meet customer requirements
• Analytical and strategic thinker with a goal-driven approach.
• Good proficiency in spoken and written English.
