Job Description

We are hiring for a proactive and detail-oriented Tendering & Estimation Engineer to identify business opportunities from industrial clients and prepare accurate, competitive, and technically sound techno-commercial quotations.

The role involves understanding customer requirements, studying BOQs and technical specifications, coordinating with OEMs/manufacturers, preparing cost estimates, developing commercial proposals, and supporting the sales team through the quotation and tendering process.

Key Responsibilities:-

Client & Requirement Understanding

Interact with industrial clients to understand their electrical equipment and project requirements.
Collect and study BOQs, technical specifications, drawings, tender documents, and project requirements.
Clarify technical and commercial requirements with customers wherever required.
Identify upcoming opportunities and support the business development team.

Tendering & Estimation

Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates, BOQs, and techno-commercial quotations.

Handle enquiries related to:

Power & Distribution Transformers

LT Panels

HT/PT Panels

Relay & Protection Panels

Switchgear & Electrical Switches

Cable Trays

Cables

Electrical Accessories and related equipment

Float enquiries to OEMs, manufacturers, and suppliers for technical and commercial offers.

Obtain and compare vendor quotations based on technical compliance, pricing, delivery, warranty, payment terms, and other commercial conditions.

Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and suitable commercial terms.

Prepare quotations using company formats and submit them for management review and approval.

Ensure quotations are accurate, complete, commercially viable, and submitted within deadlines.

Coordination & Follow-up

Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Technical, Projects, and Management teams for timely quotation preparation.

Follow up with suppliers/OEMs for quotations, technical clarifications, and revised pricing.

Follow up with customers on submitted quotations and respond to commercial/technical clarifications.

Maintain an organized database of customer enquiries, vendor quotations, costing sheets, tenders, and submitted proposals.

Required Technical Skills:-

Basic to good knowledge of industrial electrical equipment and power distribution systems.

Working knowledge of:

Transformers

LT/HT/PT Panels

Relay & Protection Panels

Switchgear

MCC/PCC Panels

Cable Trays

Power & Control Cables

Electrical Accessories

Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, BOQs, specifications, and tender documents.

Understanding of electrical estimation, costing, and quotation preparation.

Knowledge of techno-commercial proposal preparation will be an advantage.

Required Professional Skills:-

Strong analytical and numerical ability.

Good negotiation and commercial understanding.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Strong vendor and customer coordination skills.

Good follow-up and deadline management.

Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Ability to handle multiple enquiries and quotations simultaneously.

Attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.

Proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of assignments.

Qualifications:-

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related qualification.

3+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Tendering, Estimation, Costing, Quotation, Proposal, or Electrical Sales.

Experience in industrial electrical projects, EPC, power distribution, or electrical equipment will be preferred.

Candidates with experience dealing with OEMs, manufacturers, industrial clients, and electrical suppliers will have an advantage.

Pay: ₹33,000.00 - ₹58,000.00 per month
