What they need
Tennis Racket Stringer – All Things Tennis
Location: All Things Tennis Head Office, Unit 4 Sucham Park, Southam, Warwickshire
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
All Things Tennis is looking for a Tennis Racket Stringer to join our team at our head office and fulfilment centre in Southam.
As one of the UK’s leading specialist tennis and padel retailers, we supply thousands of players across the country with premium rackets, equipment and professional racket services.
This is a dedicated stringing role, primarily working on rackets purchased through our online store. Many of these are premium performance rackets where customers have selected a professional stringing upgrade, so attention to detail, consistency and pride in your work are extremely important.
Previous racket stringing experience is preferable, but it is not essential.
Full training will be provided to bring the right person up to the standard we require. We believe that someone with a keen eye for detail, good concentration and a genuine desire to produce high-quality work can be taught to string rackets to a very high professional standard.
The Role
You will work alongside another racket stringer as well as our wider warehouse and fulfilment team.
Once fully trained, we would expect an output of approximately 17 rackets per day while maintaining the high standard of stringing our customers expect.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Professionally stringing customer rackets to the requested string and tension
- Working towards an output of approximately 17 rackets per day once fully trained
- Producing clean, consistent and high-quality string jobs
- Carefully checking every racket before and after stringing
- Following customer instructions accurately
- Ensuring knots, tension, finishing and presentation meet our standards
- Working with premium rackets and strings from leading brands including Wilson, HEAD, Babolat and Yonex
- Keeping the stringing area clean, organised and efficient
- Working closely with our fulfilment team to ensure orders are completed on time
- Identifying any issues with rackets or customer specifications before dispatch
What We're Looking For
The most important qualities for this role are attention to detail and taking pride in the standard of your work.
You do not need to already be an experienced racket stringer. We are happy to train someone who has the right attitude and natural attention to detail.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has an excellent eye for detail
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work
- Can concentrate on repetitive, precision-based tasks
- Is patient and willing to learn
- Can follow processes and customer instructions accurately
- Is reliable and consistent
- Is comfortable working towards daily output targets without compromising quality
- Works well as part of a team
- Ideally has an interest in tennis, padel or sporting equipment
Previous racket stringing experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential.
Training
Full training will be provided using professional stringing machines and equipment.
The successful candidate will be taught our stringing processes, quality standards and the techniques required to produce professional-level string jobs consistently.
Our aim is not simply to teach someone how to string a racket, but to train them to produce the level of work expected from a specialist tennis retailer.
