Part-time | Permanent | 2, 3 or 4 fixed days per week

2 days: £11,887.20 | 3 days: £17,830.80 | 4 days: £23,774.40 per year

Footprints Nursery is a small, friendly nursery in the centre of Acomb, caring for children aged 0–4 years.

We are looking for a qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our experienced team, working 2, 3 or 4 full fixed days per week during term time. One of your regular days must be Monday.

Our opening hours are 7:30am–5:30pm, and this role is ideal for someone looking for a permanent position with the benefit of school holidays off.

About Footprints

We opened in 2021 and have quickly become a popular and well-established nursery within the local community. We intentionally remain a relatively small setting, allowing our team to really get to know the children and families in our care.

We are currently fully subscribed with a substantial waiting list and are looking for the right person to become part of our friendly, supportive team.

Staff meals are provided free of charge.

The role

You will provide high-quality, child-centred care and education, helping to create a happy, safe and stimulating environment in which children can learn, play and develop.

As part of the role, you will:

• Act as a key person for a small group of children, building positive relationships with them and their families.
• Help plan and deliver engaging activities based around children's individual needs, interests and development.
• Carry out observations and contribute to children's developmental records.
• Support and encourage positive, safe behaviour.
• Communicate confidently and professionally with children, parents and colleagues.
• Support children with personal care and hygiene as required.
• Help maintain a clean, tidy, safe and welcoming nursery environment.
• Work closely with the rest of our team to provide consistently high standards of care.

About you

We are looking for someone who is qualified to work within an Early Years setting and who genuinely enjoys working with young children.

You should be caring, reliable and enthusiastic, with good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a close-knit team.

Previous nursery experience is desirable, but just as important to us is finding someone with the right attitude and approach to working with children.
