About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and career-driven fresh graduates to join our team as a Terminal Operations & Safety Management Supervisor Trainee based in Pasir Gudang, Johor.

This position is specially designed for graduates who are interested in developing a long-term career in terminal operations, port management, logistics, transportation, and occupational safety management. Successful candidates will undergo structured training and hands-on exposure to terminal operations, safety compliance, workforce management, and operational planning.

Key Responsibilities

Terminal Operations

• Assist in monitoring daily terminal and cargo handling operations.
• Coordinate operational activities to ensure smooth workflow and efficient utilization of resources.
• Support supervisors in managing vessel, cargo, equipment, and yard operations.
• Monitor operational performance and prepare operational reports.
• Assist in planning and coordinating manpower deployment.

Safety Management

• Support the implementation of workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and site observations.
• Participate in incident investigations and safety reporting.
• Assist in identifying workplace hazards and recommending preventive measures.
• Promote safety awareness and compliance among employees and contractors.
• Support emergency response planning and safety drills.

Administration & Reporting

• Maintain operational and safety records.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for management review.
• Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in:

  • Transportation Management
  • Logistics Management
  • Port Management
  • Maritime Studies
  • Shipping Management
  • Traffic Management
  • Occupational Safety & Health
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Business Administration
  • Or related disciplines

Experience

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• No prior working experience is required.
• Internship experience in logistics, shipping, transportation, port operations, or safety management will be an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong interest in terminal operations, logistics, transportation, and safety management.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership potential and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work at operational sites and outdoor environments when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH).
• Familiarity with logistics, shipping, transportation, or port operations.
• Knowledge of Malaysian workplace safety regulations is an advantage.
• Possession of Green Book, NIOSH certification, or OSH-related training will be an added advantage.
