What they need

You know a strong orthopaedics territory is built on trust. Being there when your customers need you, knowing your products inside out, and making sure surgeons and theatre teams can rely on you when it matters.

As Territory Sales Manager, you’ll take ownership of your region, combining commercial growth with excellent case coverage and strong customer relationships. You’ll be out in the field, developing accounts, spotting new opportunities, and working closely with clinical teams to keep things moving.

If you’re driven, personable and organised, this is a chance to put your orthopaedic sales experience to good use. You’ll have the freedom to grow your territory, build lasting relationships, and see the impact of your work through both sales performance and customer success.

Who’s it for and what’s in it for you?

Our client is a specialist orthopaedics company that’s helping surgeons do life-changing work. For over 75 years they’ve been focused on joint replacement, with products that support hip, knee, and shoulder surgery, no matter how complex the case is. They’ve got real credibility in the market, and the business is built around helping clinicians get the best possible results for their patients.

As for working there, when they say they’re people focused they mean it. They put a huge emphasis on both wellbeing and growth, giving their people access to health and wellness support, tailored training and development, and a supportive environment designed for people to thrive.

What will your day to day look like?

You’ll take ownership of sales across your territory, balancing new business with the growth of existing accounts and making sure customers receive the right clinical and commercial support.

  • Build and deliver a territory plan to meet or exceed sales and revenue targets
  • Develop new business across NHS and private hospitals while growing existing accounts
  • Build strong relationships with surgeons, consultants, theatre teams and procurement
  • Promote, demonstrate and sell the orthopaedic portfolio to clinical and commercial stakeholders
  • Prepare proposals, pricing and presentations to support opportunities through to close
  • Provide technical and clinical support during surgical procedures when required
  • Work closely with Clinical Specialists and allocate support across the territory effectively
  • Stay up to date with products, clinical evidence and new innovations so you can speak confidently with customers
  • Organise and attend demonstrations, roadshows, journal clubs and industry events
  • Track account performance, pricing, sales activity and market trends, feeding insight back to the wider business
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing and internal teams to make sure customer needs are met
  • Attend regular sales meetings and share territory performance, plans and best practice

This role will suit you if you…

  • Have experience selling orthopaedic medical devices
  • Have a strong track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets in medical devices
  • Understand the UK orthopaedics market and how NHS and private hospital buying decisions are made
  • Are confident building relationships with surgeons, consultants, theatre teams and procurement
  • Enjoy a mix of winning new business and developing existing accounts
  • Have strong commercial awareness and understand the value and potential within each account
  • Communicate confidently, present well and can influence and negotiate effectively
  • Are organised, analytical and comfortable managing your own territory and priorities
  • Have the leadership skills to support and motivate Clinical Specialists where required
  • Are proactive, accountable and comfortable working independently in the field
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and are happy to travel, including occasional overnight and overseas travel
  • Hold the relevant DBS/PVG checks or are able to obtain them
