Assignment Experience (What You Can Expect)

• Teach English to students who are English Language Learners (ELLs)
• Support academic and language development across grade levels (PreK–12 opportunities)
• Collaborative teams including classroom teachers, counselors, and administration
• Opportunities to support curriculum development, language assessments, and school-wide ESL programs

Your Impact as a TESOL Teacher

You’ll help students gain the language skills needed to succeed academically and socially while supporting schools in creating inclusive, language-rich environments.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and implement English language learning lessons for students at various proficiency levels
• Conduct language assessments and progress monitoring
• Differentiate instruction to meet students’ individual needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Support students’ social-emotional and academic development
• Assist with ESL/ELL program development and MTSS / RTI initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in TESOL, English, or related field
• TESOL endorsement on an ODE Issued Teaching license
• Experience teaching English learners preferred, but newer professionals encouraged to apply — mentorship available
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Passion for helping students succeed academically and develop English language skills
