Test Analyst

Position Description

We are looking for a Manual Test Engineer to join our team working on insurance core systems. You will help deliver reliable solutions by designing and executing tests, identifying issues, and collaborating with developers, business analysts, and business representatives. You'll contribute to ambitious insurance projects with the support of an experienced team. Salary range: 1900-2600 Euros (gross). Your future duties and responsibilities

• Design test cases and organize them into test suites based on business requirements.
• Perform smoke, regression, and acceptance testing.
• Identify defects, create clear bug reports in Jira, and verify fixes.
• Work with business analysts, developers, and business representatives to clarify requirements and test results.
• Estimate testing tasks and take part in Agile and Scrum activities.
• Present completed work and test results in demonstrations for business representatives.
• Where needed, support batch monitoring and processing in test environments and production, including investigating failed runs and coordinating reruns.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role Your skills and capabilities 80% consist of:

• 2–3 years or more of experience in software testing.
• Experience designing and executing manual test cases.
• A methodical approach, attention to detail, and strong problem solving skills.
• Good communication skills and confidence working with technical and business colleagues.
• Curiosity and a willingness to keep learning.
• Fluency in Latvian and English, as the role involves working with both local and international clients.
• Experience with Jira and documentation tools such as Confluence.
• Test management tools such as TestRail is an advantage.
• Familiarity with SQL or PL/SQL, API testing tools (e.g. Postman or SoapUI), is an advantage.
• Experience with insurance systems is an advantage; hands on Tia experience is a particularly strong advantage.
• ISTQB or insurance testing certification is an advantage.
• Interest in test automation is welcome.
