TEST & ANALYSIS ENGINEER

OVERVIEW

MOCX is building Africa’s clean energy infrastructure through innovative mobility and

energy solutions. Through its subsidiary, Rechaj, the company operates a Battery-as-a-

Service (BaaS) model that supports sustainable transportation by providing battery-

swapping services and energy infrastructure for electric vehicles.

As MOCX builds out its Research & Development department in Lagos, we are seeking a

hands-on Test & Analysis Engineer to join our Vehicle & Prototype Engineering team.

The successful candidate will test our vehicle hardware, analyse the results and provide the

evidence our engineers need to release reliable designs.

This is a chance to be the person who knows what really works. You will push hardware to

its limits, take apart what breaks, and use engineering and data to turn failures into better

designs. If you are curious, love getting your hands dirty and want your findings to shape

what goes into production, this role is for you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Testing

• Plan and run durability and performance tests on vehicle hardware and prototypes.
• Set up and maintain test rigs and measurement equipment.
• Inspect and take apart failed parts to find the root cause.

Analysis

• Track and analyse field failure data to spot problems early.
• Develop and maintain methods for assessing vehicle and component condition.
• Measure the impact of new equipment and process changes in the field.

Reporting

• Produce clear test reports that support design decisions and releases.
• Prepare simple cost and business-case analyses for engineering improvements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (First Class or Second

Class Upper preferred).

• 0–3 years of experience in testing, quality, maintenance or engineering analysis.
• Hands-on with test equipment and measurement tools.
• Strong Excel skills; Python is a plus.
• Evidence of projects you have built or tested.

TECHNICAL & PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS (PREFERRED)

• Experience with vehicle, automotive or manufacturing testing.
• Familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar).
• Exposure to data logging or sensor instrumentation.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

This is a fully in-person role based at our Lagos office, with significant time at our

workshop and operating sites, including Sango-Ota. You will work closely with R&D

engineers, operations teams and the R&D Director.
