Test & Quality Lead

About the role

As Test & Quality Lead you will own quality across the MyWave platform and its features. The role is hands-on and technical: bug identification, functional testing, and performance testing across the product suite, plus end-to-end testing through to the customer.

Key responsibilities

• Own quality at product level in a team without a separate test function
• Define and evolve quality and testing approaches that support confident delivery and manage risk
• Establish clear acceptance criteria and shared definitions of done with product and engineering
• Ensure quality considerations — correctness, usability, performance, reliability — are embedded from the outset, not bolted on at the end
• Design and execute test plans for new platform features across the MyWave product suite (Agent Builder, MyWave Create, desktop application), covering functionality, usability, edge cases, and failure modes
• Test features against acceptance criteria from first build through to release
• Participate in exploratory testing alongside developers
• Validate platform governance capabilities — permissions, guardrails, and audit behaviour work as designed
• Test platform performance and responsiveness under realistic load and data volumes
• Find, reproduce, and clearly document bugs with the detail engineering needs to fix them fast

About you

• 5+ years in software testing/QA, including experience owning product quality in teams without a dedicated test function
• Proven experience with functional, end-to-end, and integration testing across multiple systems — comfortable following a transaction from UI through APIs to a backend system of record
• Performance testing experience with appropriate tooling
• Strong exploratory testing instincts alongside structured test planning
• Clear written communication: test plans, defect reports, and release quality summaries that stakeholders can act on
• Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team where you work directly with developers and customers
• Curiosity about AI platforms and willingness to learn how an agentic AI product works under the hood
