Test & Quality Lead

Our team is responsible for the operation and continuous development of the Lufthansa Group’s Identity Management Services.

You will take ownership of establishing the quality and testing approach for our complex ecosystem – from defining the strategy and processes to implementing them in practice.

Your future job description

• Define and establish the product-specific test and quality strategy from the ground up
• Assess quality risks and define appropriate testing levels, methods, tools and processes
• Establish pragmatic QA processes, guidelines and quality standards
• Gain buy-in from developers, architects, Product Owners and other stakeholders and drive adoption
• Be the quality advocate and subject matter expert, challenging existing approaches when needed
• Be hands-on: perform functional and non-functional testing and create test artefacts, especially during the initial phase
• Introduce and promote test automation where it adds value
• Define quality metrics and establish feedback loops for continuous improvement
• Take ownership of quality-related initiatives and drive them to completion
• Communicate complex quality and technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

You are looking for us, if You

• Have several years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Have experience defining or improving test strategies and QA processes
• Are a proactive self-starter who enjoys creating structure where there is none
• Have a strong strategic mindset but are not afraid to get hands-on
• Are confident in challenging opinions and ways of working and can convincingly represent your professional point of view
• Are resilient and comfortable giving and receiving constructive criticism
• Have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Have solid knowledge of functional testing and a good understanding of test automation and non-functional testing
• Have a pragmatic mindset and focus on delivering real improvements in software quality
• Enjoy working in an agile, collaborative environment and taking ownership
