Test & Requirement JAVA

We are looking for a Requirements & Test Automation Engineer to contribute to the specification, verification and validation of software components within a complex, safety-critical environment.

The role combines requirements engineering, software testing and test automation, with a strong focus on component-level activities. You will be responsible for writing, reviewing and maintaining component requirements, ensuring their traceability to higher-level system requirements, and defining the corresponding test coverage.

You will create and maintain both manual and automated test cases, execute test campaigns, analyse results and report defects. A key part of the role is the development and maintenance of automated tests using Java and JUnit, within a continuous integration environment using Jenkins.

You will also contribute to defect analysis and root-cause investigation, support test result management activities, and participate in formal verification and acceptance testing activities.

The position requires a high level of autonomy, rigor and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work effectively within an Agile engineering team and in a continuous improvement mindset.

We are looking for an engineer with solid experience in safety-critical or mission-critical environments, ideally with a background in software requirements, verification and testing.

The successful candidate should have proven experience in writing and maintaining software requirements and in establishing clear traceability between requirements and test cases. A strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design and defect analysis is essential.

Strong Java development skills are required, together with hands-on experience in test automation using JUnit and Jenkins. Experience with Python, Cucumber for Java or Gherkin would be considered an advantage.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, rigorous, autonomous and well organized, with the ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a demanding technical environment. Strong teamwork and communication skills are also important.

Previous experience in air traffic management, real-time systems, security-sensitive environments or other safety-critical industries would be a strong asset. Knowledge of relevant standards such as ESARR6/EC482, ED153, IEC61508 or ISO12207 would also be advantageous.

Fluent written and spoken English is required, while French would be considered a plus.
