Test Architect

Job Description: (10+ Years exp)

• Act as a technical consultant and subject matter expert for test automation initiatives.

• Understand business, application, and testing requirements and translate them into effective automation solutions.

• Assess existing automation landscapes and recommend improvements in terms of architecture, tools, processes, scalability, and maintainability.

• Define automation approaches, roadmaps, implementation strategies, and best practices.

• Conduct technical discussions, solution workshops, and proof-of-concepts for automation initiatives.

• Evaluate and recommend appropriate automation tools, technologies, and frameworks based on project requirements.

?- Design and architect scalable, reusable, maintainable, and robust automation frameworks.

• Lead the development and implementation of automation frameworks across UI, API, mobile, services, and other testing layers as applicable.

• Define framework architecture, coding standards, design patterns, reusable components, and best practices.

• Ensure automation frameworks are designed for easy integration with CI/CD and DevOps pipelines.

• Drive framework modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Identify and resolve challenges related to framework performance, stability, scalability, and maintainability.

?- Provide technical direction and guidance to automation engineers and QA teams.

• Guide teams on automation strategy, framework structure, design, development, coding practices, debugging, and implementation.

• Review automation architecture, technical designs, and code to ensure adherence to defined standards.

• Act as the escalation point for complex automation and framework-related technical issues.

• Mentor team members and help build strong automation engineering capabilities.

• Support teams in making appropriate technical decisions and selecting the right approach for challenging automation scenarios.

?- Experience working on large-scale enterprise automation transformation initiatives.

• Experience establishing or contributing to an Automation Center of Excellence (CoE).

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other modern DevOps technologies.

• Experience with performance, security, accessibility, or other specialized testing areas.

• Relevant testing, automation, Agile, or cloud certifications would be an advantage.

• Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills.
