Test Automation Architect

Eligibility Criteria

• Should have 9-12 years of experience in full-time testing role and at least 4-6 years in the hands-on automation architect role
• Should have prior experience in designing and developing test automation frameworks from the scratch
• Should have prior experience in leading a team of automation engineers
• Should have hands-on experience of atleast two of the following
  • Selenium Webdriver with Java/C#/Python/JS
  • Protractor
  • Appium
  • Test complete
  • Ranorex
  • UFT
  • Postman, RestAssured
• Should have hands-on experience of the following tools
  • Git/Bitbucket/Gitlab/SVN
  • Selenium grid/Saucelabs/Browserstack
  • Jenkins/AzureDevops
  • Wireshark/Mountebank/any other service virtualization tools
• Should be familiar with end-end phases of test automation
• Should be familiar with code reviews, design patterns, and implementing best practices in test automation
• Should have excellent communication skills
• Should be a quick learner

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Design, Develop test automation IP products such as test automation frameworks, configuration, test data generation, Reporting tools across multiple tools, programming languages
2. Analyze Test automation trends in the market, learn new tools as needed, and design reusable test automation frameworks.
3. Coordinate with the Stakeholders to facilitate the gathering and documenting of test automation objectives and requirements for input into Automation Strategy and Design approach
4. Design test automation proposals and RFPs
5. Documents test automation requirements and other test planning artifacts in preparation for test automation design
6. Support functional testing teams and clients as a Test automation consultant in Setup, Planning, POC, Delivery, Training, and handover of test automation solutions
7. Coordinates and facilitates test automation delivery and POCs
8. Coordinate with the team and deliver Technical White papers, Case studies, and other Sales collateral on Test automation as needed
9. Create & Propose win-win solutions for Test automation assignments
10. Manage a team of automation testers, Technical Analysts
11. Manages automated testing artifacts to ensure proper reuse, versioning, backups, organization, and retention.
12. Trains and mentors other employees on test automation
13. Support Sales and ES team as needed
14. Interfaces as needed with the Senior Manager to report status
15. Conduct test automation interviews, train the junior/mid-level automation engineers
16. Conduct performance appraisals
