What they need

Test Automation Engineer (LabVIEW / Hardware Integration)

About the role

We are building an in-house test automation platform for automotive test benches. It replaces LabVIEW as the application layer and connects through vendor APIs to DAQ cards, CAN interfaces and bench instruments. We need an engineer who has built and run real test benches in LabVIEW and can turn that knowledge into clear requirements for the new platform.

What you will do

*Study existing LabVIEW-based test benches and document what each one does: sequences, limits, timing, hardware interaction and operator workflow.

*Write clear requirement specifications that our developers build from.

*Identify the hardware on each bench (DAQ, CAN, instruments, I/O) and verify how it can be driven through its vendor driver or SDK.

*Define how test engineers will create and maintain tests in the new framework.

*Take part in proof-of-concept testing, including comparing the new system's results against the existing bench.

*Work on site with the client's test engineers when required.

Required skills

Hands-on experience building and maintaining LabVIEW test applications on production or validation benches.

Practical experience with DAQ hardware (analog and digital I/O) and its drivers.

Experience with CAN or other automotive communication, including reading DBC files.

Experience with bench instruments over SCPI, serial or similar interfaces.

The ability to debug at hardware level, such as wiring, signal and scaling issues.

Clear written documentation skills.

Good to have

TestStand or a similar test sequencer.

Working knowledge of C#, Python or another text-based language.

Experience with NI-DAQmx, NI-XNET, Advantech DAQNavi or similar SDKs.

Familiarity with automotive quality practices such as measurement system analysis and calibration traceability.

Exposure to camera or vision-based inspection.

CLAD, CLD or CTD certification.

What we look for

You describe what a system actually does rather than what the documentation says. You treat a wrong measurement as more serious than a crash. You are comfortable working at a client's plant and learning from the engineers there.

Please note

Candidates must not bring confidential code or documents from any previous employer.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
