Job Description As part of the development of our activities in the canton of Vaud, we are looking for a Test Automation Engineer (M/F) .

Reporting to a technical manager, you will join a multidisciplinary engineering team involved in the development and verification of mission-critical software systems operating within a highly regulated environment.

You will contribute to the automation of testing activities across the software lifecycle, ensuring high-quality deliverables through robust test frameworks, automated validation processes and continuous integration practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks.
• Define automation strategies aligned with project objectives.
• Develop automated test scripts using Python.
• Create and maintain integration, system and end-to-end tests.
• Participate in the definition of test plans and test procedures.
• Execute automated and manual test campaigns.
• Analyze test results and identify defects.
• Support root-cause analysis and troubleshooting activities.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases and test results.
• Develop and maintain test environments and test data.
• Contribute to CI/CD implementation and continuous testing strategies.
• Improve automation coverage and testing efficiency.
• Produce validation reports and testing documentation.
• Collaborate closely with software, systems and verification engineers.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and testing best practices.

YOUR PROFILE You hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field.

You have proven experience in software testing and test automation and enjoy working in quality-driven engineering environments.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Strong experience with Python.
• Experience developing automated test frameworks.
• Experience with integration, system and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with CI/CD environments.
• Knowledge of software verification and validation processes.
• Experience with defect management and reporting.
• Experience with Jira and test management tools.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation.
• Ability to work autonomously in multidisciplinary teams.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Swiss or EU-27 citizenship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Robot Framework.
• Experience with PyTest.
• Experience with Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Experience with BDD methodologies.
• Experience in Air Traffic Management.
• Experience in Aerospace, Defence, Railway or other safety-critical industries.
• Knowledge of software quality standards.
• Experience performing Factory Acceptance Tests.

Languages

• Fluent or professional English is mandatory.
