Your Task

We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer who is actively involved in designing and developing automated testing solutions for web applications. In this role, you will work with modern test automation tools and work closely with developers, test managers and Product Owners to deliver high quality software. This position is based in Hungary and requires confidence in English and German.

Responsibilities

• Development, maintenance and stabilization of automated UI and end-to-end tests for web applications
• Use and further development of web-based test automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Selenium, Cypress)
• Integration of tests into CI/CD processes
• Design and maintenance of test architectures (e.g. Page Object Pattern)
• Error analysis, debugging and evaluation of test results
• Analysis of test reports, screenshots, videos and traces
• Collaborate with development teams, test managers and product owners
• Continuous improvement of testing processes in an agile environment

Your Profile

We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in web test automation, modern testing frameworks, and CI/CD integration, along with proficiency in programming and agile methodologies. The ideal candidate should have confidence in both English and German communication.

Must Have Skills

• Years of experience in web test automation
• Practical experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar test automation framework
• Experience in developing automated UI and E2E tests
• Confident programming skills in Javascript/TypeScript, Java, Python, or C#
• Experience with test automation in CI/CD environments (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, DOM structures and web technologies
• Experience in designing stable selectors and test architectures
• Debugging and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in agile projects
• Proficiency in German at least at level B1-2
• Confidence in English communication

Nice to Have Skills

• ISTQB Foundation or ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer certification
• Playwright, Selenium or Cypress certification or verifiable practical experience
• API Testing Experience (REST, Postman, Playwright API Testing)
• Experience using Xray/Jira for test documentation, test execution, and reporting
• Cross-browser testing experience
• Knowledge of cloud-based test platforms (e.g. BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, Selenium Grid)
• Accessibility, performance or visual regression testing experience
• Docker and containerization skills to build test environments
• Experience in using reporting tools (e.g. Allure, Mochawesome, Playwright HTML Report, JUnit XML)
