Test Automation Engineer | START ASAP!!!

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Automation Engineer to join our growing technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications.

You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to identify testing requirements, improve testing processes, and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Execute automated and manual tests to identify defects and ensure software quality.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar technologies.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and define test scenarios.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Analyze test results, document defects, and track issues through resolution.
• Maintain test documentation, test cases, and automation reports.
• Continuously improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and QA processes.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum practices.
• Familiarity with Git, SQL, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
• Experience testing cloud-based applications and microservices.
• Familiarity with Docker, cloud platforms, and test reporting tools.
• Relevant software testing certifications are an advantage.
