What they need
About the role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Test professional to help ensure that products, systems, applications, and processes meet quality, functionality, usability, performance, and reliability standards. In this role, you’ll plan and execute tests, identify and document defects, validate fixes, and collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and other internal teams to deliver dependable outcomes. You’ll contribute to test coverage, release readiness, process improvement, and a consistent user experience.
What you’ll do
- Review product requirements, specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation to identify test needs
- Develop test plans, test cases, test scenarios, checklists, and other quality assurance documentation
- Execute manual and, where applicable, automated tests across functional, regression, integration, usability, compatibility, and end-to-end test areas
- Validate applications, systems, features, workflows, interfaces, data, and business processes against defined requirements
- Identify, reproduce, document, prioritize, and track defects using approved issue management and testing tools
- Provide clear defect reports that include steps to reproduce, expected results, actual results, severity, supporting evidence, and relevant test data
- Retest resolved defects and confirm that fixes do not introduce additional issues
- Participate in test planning, refinement sessions, sprint reviews, release planning, and other project meetings
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, designers, analysts, operations, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve quality issues
- Maintain accurate test results, defect records, test evidence, traceability information, and release documentation
- Support user acceptance testing, release validation, production verification, and post-release quality reviews
- Review test results and quality metrics to identify trends, recurring issues, coverage gaps, and opportunities for improvement
- Contribute to automated testing, test data preparation, test environment validation, and continuous integration or delivery processes where applicable
- Recommend improvements to testing processes, quality standards, documentation, tools, and team workflows
How you’ll work
You’ll work cross-functionally with product, engineering, design, operations, customer support, and other internal teams. The role combines requirements analysis, test planning, hands-on validation, defect management, documentation, and communication. You’ll balance structured testing activities with changing priorities, evolving requirements, and time-sensitive releases. Success in this role requires curiosity, careful attention to detail, sound judgment, clear communication, and a commitment to delivering reliable products and experiences.
Who you are
- Detail-oriented and methodical, with the ability to identify inconsistencies, edge cases, and potential risks
- Analytical and comfortable investigating unexpected behavior, reviewing evidence, and determining likely causes
- Persistent and thorough in reproducing issues, validating fixes, and confirming expected outcomes
- Clear and professional communicator who can explain technical and quality issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborative and constructive, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams
- Organized and dependable, with the ability to manage multiple test activities, deadlines, environments, and priorities
- Comfortable working with test management, issue tracking, collaboration, documentation, and product development tools
- Committed to maintaining accurate test documentation, defect records, evidence, and quality reports
- Curious about how products and systems work and motivated to understand user needs and business requirements
- Proactive in identifying risks, communicating blockers, and recommending practical improvements
- Committed to continuous learning as products, technologies, testing practices, and quality standards evolve
Why this role matters
Effective testing helps ensure that products and systems are reliable, secure, usable, and ready for customers and internal teams. This role helps identify issues before release, reduce operational and customer impact, improve development feedback loops, and strengthen confidence in product quality. By applying structured testing practices and communicating findings clearly, you’ll help the organization deliver consistent and dependable experiences.
Qualifications
- Experience in software testing, quality assurance, product validation, systems testing, business process testing, or a comparable field
- Experience creating and executing test cases, test scenarios, test plans, checklists, or acceptance criteria
- Experience documenting, prioritizing, tracking, and retesting defects using an issue tracking or test management system
- Working knowledge of functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, usability testing, and end-to-end testing practices
- Ability to interpret requirements, user stories, technical documentation, workflows, and business rules
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and written communication skills
- Ability to manage test data, maintain accurate test evidence, and communicate test results and release risks
- Familiarity with software development lifecycles, agile methodologies, issue tracking tools, and collaboration platforms
- Understanding of web applications, mobile applications, APIs, databases, or other relevant technologies, depending on the testing environment
- Experience with test automation, scripting, SQL, API testing, or continuous integration tools is helpful but not required for all testing assignments
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams in a changing environment
How to apply
Please submit a resume and a brief cover note describing your experience with testing, quality assurance, defect management, requirements validation, or process improvement. Include examples of test plans, test cases, testing tools, automation, production validation, or relevant projects if available. We review applications on an ongoing basis and will contact candidates whose experience most closely matches the role.
