Test Engineer (Azure Kusto)

Project Overview:

Microsoft Fabric is a unified data analytics platform that integrates data engineering, data warehousing, real-time analytics, business intelligence, and AI capabilities. Kusto Web Explorer (KWE) is a web-based data exploration and query experience that enables users to analyze and visualize large-scale datasets efficiently.

As a member of the Kusto testing team, this role focuses on quality assurance for Microsoft Fabric and KWE , covering key areas such as data querying, dashboards, data visualization, Copilot AI experiences, and web applications. Responsibilities include functional testing, automation testing, API validation, and end-to-end business workflow verification to ensure a high-quality user experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform functional, UI, compatibility, regression, and end-to-end testing for data analytics platforms, web applications, and data visualization products.
• Design test strategies, create test cases, execute tests, and validate product quality.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
• Identify, track, verify, and drive resolution of software defects to ensure high-quality product delivery.
• Participate in testing AI-related features and user experiences, while exploring the application of AI technologies in software testing and quality engineering.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science , Software Engineering, or a related field, with 1–3 years of experience in software testing or test automation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive attitude, ownership mindset, and problem-solving ability.
• Be familiar with at least one programming language, such as Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, etc. Experience with automation testing tools such as Playwright or Selenium is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing automated testing frameworks is a plus.
• Solid understanding of software testing processes, test design methodologies, and quality assurance best practices.
• Good English reading and writing skills, with the ability to read technical documentation and communicate effectively in a professional environment. VSTEP B1/B2, TOEIC 550+, IELTS 5.5+, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
• Experience using AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Cursor to improve testing, development, or productivity is a plus.
