What they need
About the role
To coordinate activities in the laboratory and ensure smooth running of day-to-day laboratory activities. Responsible for technical operations and the provision of the resources needed to ensure the required quality of the chemical laboratory.
Key responsibilities
- Schedule sample throughput, monitor work in progress, prioritize sample analysis based on client requirements and laboratory efficiency and ensure work is performed in a timely fashion
- Monitor and ensure that the quality management system as per MS ISO/IEC 17025 and SAMM is implemented accordingly
- Report any sample violations as indicated in the Departmental SOP to Laboratory Manager, and carry out the necessary actions required prior to reporting results
- Ensure the qualification, maintenance and calibration of equipment as per laid down under standard operating procedure is implemented accordingly
