Test Engineer

About the role

This is a 12-month contract role (renewable) based at Changi Airport Terminal 2, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 6pm. You will collaborate with AV vendors and oversee the integration of autonomous vehicle systems, ensuring operational readiness and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with AV vendors to develop and adapt new features to suit operational environments (e.g. emergency vehicle prioritisation, roadwork navigation, and smart traffic light integration)
• Oversee the integration of the AV Fleet Management System with external platforms to enable enhanced functionalities
• Design and execute scenario-based testing to validate system performance and operational readiness
• Recommend system enhancements and ensure feature compliance with relevant AV safety regulations
• Conduct safety testing and assessments to ensure reliability and regulatory adherence of new features
• Assist in designing and implementing cloud-based / on-prem architecture
• Ensure compliance with IT security and governance requirements
• Supervise over-the-air (OTA) software updates deployed by AV vendors to ensure seamless implementation
• Lead the development and implementation of the Command & Control (C2) system for AV operations
• Collaborate with telecommunications providers to ensure stable, secure, and high-performance 4G/5G network connectivity for remote supervision

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or similar
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software or system testing for autonomous systems, robotics, or ADAS/AV features
• Experience in designing and executing scenario-based tests and requirements-to-test traceability
• Exposure to fleet management systems (FMS) and system integrations (APIs, message buses)
• Basic knowledge of cloud/on-prem design, system design principles, including how robotic/AV systems interface with other enterprise IT infrastructure, basic networking and communication protocols, cybersecurity practices and SDLC
