Key Responsibilities Transformer testing Perform routine, type, and special tests on power and distribution transformers. Conduct tests such as: Transformer turns ratio (TTR) Winding resistance Insulation resistance (IR) Magnetic balance test Vector group/polarity test No-load/load-loss tests Short-circuit impedance test Induced and applied voltage tests Partial discharge (PD) testing Tan delta/capacitance testing
