Project Management/Product Test Engineer

Location: Greater Boston area

Work Arrangement: Onsite, 5 days/week

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 3 months, potential for extension

Experience: 2-5 years ideally

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an early career Project Management Test Engineer to join a product testing team supporting our client’s innovative consumer product line.

This is a hands on engineering role where you'll work closely with Test Engineers, Engineering, Product Development, and leadership to execute testing, collect and analyze data, and help keep testing programs moving forward.

The ideal candidate is technically curious, highly organized, comfortable working with physical products, and has a tinkerer mindset . You'll learn the product, execute test protocols, identify issues, and produce accurate data that engineering teams can trust.

What You'll Do

• Execute test protocols and DQTP test requirements according to established procedures
• Build, instrument, and maintain test fixtures, samples, and test preparations
• Collect, analyze, and present test data accurately and on schedule
• Identify anomalies, unclear protocols, and testing gaps and communicate them to the appropriate program owner
• Develop a strong understanding of product architecture and key performance drivers
• Consider how consumers use products when evaluating test results
• Apply basic statistical concepts including sample size, variation, and repeatability
• Present testing results and project updates during team meetings
• Work closely with Test Engineering, Engineering, Product Development, and leadership
• Help coordinate testing activities and keep projects aligned with engineering priorities

What We're Looking For

• BSEE, BSME, or similar technical degree
• 2-5 years of product testing or test engineering experience can include internship/co-op experience
• Comfortable working with hand tools, test fixtures, and electromechanical assemblies
• Working knowledge of basic statistics
• Strong Excel and data-handling skills
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to work hands-on with physical products and testing equipment
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Curious, practical, tinkerer mindset
• Willingness to learn and step outside your comfort zone

• Product development or engineering lab experience
