Test Engineer-Optical Module/Transceiver

TFC Thailand has already commenced since 2023 and is expected to go into operation in 2024. Its main business is to provide contract manufacturing services for optical engine-related products and offer robust support for TFC Communication on its journey to becoming a globally competitive enterprise of optical sub-assemblies.

Job Title: Test Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our team and take ownership of test-related activities for fiber optic products. The ideal candidate will be experienced in software development for testing, familiar with SQL Server databases, and well-versed in optical component and module testing platforms, methods, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve test-related issues.
• Develop and improve test software using programming languages such as C# or LabVIEW.
• Provide direct support for tester issues and minimize downtime.
• Deliver training and maintain documentation related to test processes.
• Perform yield and failure analysis and provide timely feedback.
• Conduct failure analysis (FA) for both customer and supplier returns.
• Ensure all test equipment is calibrated and properly maintained.
• Manage spare parts and consumables to prevent equipment downtime.
• Analyze and troubleshoot failed units and perform debug operations.
• Lead and document debug training for relevant teams.
• Coordinate with other Test Engineers and ensure timely feedback.
• Prioritize and assign Debug WIP (Work in Progress).
• Provide data and reports to support failure analysis efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages such as C# or LabVIEW.
• Familiarity with SQL Server and database handling.
• Hands-on experience in fiber optic product testing and related platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a manufacturing or optical communications environment.
• Understanding of industry standards and test protocols for fiber optics.
