Test Engineering Manager

About the role

The Test Engineering Manager leads the Test Engineering Department, managing personnel, testing operations, and service sections. The role involves analyzing product failures, controlling test key performance indicators, investigating new tools and equipment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve systemic issues affecting yield, efficiency, and customer quality.

Key responsibilities

• Management of all personnel assigned to the Test Engineering Department
• Ensure staff effectiveness and cost improvements
• Manage Testing, FA and Service Section according to guidelines
• Analyze products failure and feedback the problem to front line
• Control all products to meet department goals
• Investigate new tools and necessary equipment for the Test Engineering Department
• Ensure that staff have been trained and strictly follow safety rules at workplace
• Ensure compliance with the company's management system, policies and rules
• Manage Test KPI (First pass yield, Last pass yield, On-Time-Delivery, scrap and production cost) to meet department goals
• Work with Process, Product, R&D team, and customers to set up and debug ICT, Flying Probe, FCT Tester, and Test programs

About you

• Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering or related field
• Proven work experience 10 years in Test Engineer and 5 years in Manager or similar role
• Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems
• Relevant training and/or certifications as Test Engineering Manager
• Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneously
• Strong leadership and team player, good attitude, logical thinking
• Good command for English and Computer skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in strategic planning and execution
• Strong ability to lead cross-functional collaboration with Production, Quality, and R&D
