TEST ENGINEERING MANAGER

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Test Engineering / Test Development and Debug teams, ensuring projects are delivered according to technical requirements and project timelines.
• Develop and implement overall test strategies and solutions, including ICT, Functional Test (FCT), Safety Test (HIPOT/IR/GB), ESS and Burn-In.
• Take ownership of Functional Test Bench (FCT) development throughout the full lifecycle — from concept, design and quotation through commissioning, fine-tuning and production support.
• Lead Design for Testability (DFT) and test readiness activities during NPI to ensure smooth transition from product development to mass production.
• Manage new test equipment projects, whether developed internally or through external suppliers.
• Analyze test data and drive yield improvement, failure analysis, root cause analysis (RCA), troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Evaluate test feasibility during the RFQ stage, including test concepts, estimated test time, equipment/tooling requirements and cost.
• Act as a key technical interface with customers on test requirements, technical issues, qualification and solution acceptance.
• Support FAT/SAT, equipment qualification and handover to production.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Program Management and RFQ teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing performance.

About you

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Strong experience in Test Engineering within electronics manufacturing / EMS, preferably with experience leading a Test Engineering function or team.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of FCT and electronics test systems; experience with ICT, safety testing, ESS/Burn-In is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of electronics troubleshooting and debugging, with the ability to use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers and power sources.
• Experience in NPI, DFT, test development, test equipment commissioning and production test support.
• Knowledge of test automation/programming such as LabVIEW, TestStand, C/C++, C#, Python or related technologies is an advantage.
• Strong project management, problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Experience working directly with customers and test equipment suppliers.
• Good command of English for technical and business communication.
• Strong leadership mindset with a practical, hands-on and solution-oriented approach.
