Test Fleet Engineer

Responsibilities

• The Test Fleet Engineer is responsible for the truck uptime for the complete vehicle fleet, from delivery to divestment.
• The Test Fleet Engineer is a project stakeholder who proactively plan activities assigned under Test Fleet Center responsibilities.
• Be the first line of support for assuring the vehicle uptime (second line for field test trucks)
• Lead activities necessary under unplanned stops: Secure workshop resources o Identify, order, and manage required materials
• Secure and plan towing and special transport between testing sites
• Secure and plan resources and certain transport documentation necessary for exporting and importing vehicles to and from outside the EU
• To support the development of market leading trucks and a variety of test needs while assuring less tied up capital in vehicles, we take lead in optimizing the vehicle fleet by Secure having an optimal number of vehicles in the fleet by planning and coordinating divestment of vehicles in time, secure having a high usage degree on vehicles in the fleet by analyzing the utilization of individual vehicles and the complete fleet
• In relevant project meetings, take lead in planning and executing actions related to unplanned stops as well as other relevant actions needed to optimize vehicle uptime
• Give input, communicate requirements and share knowledge to stakeholders affecting vehicle uptime
• Take lead in ensuring that projects meet Test Fleet Center requirements, with a proactive mindset
• Order material and services, and process related invoices from external partners
• Maintain test fleet vehicles between loan periods
• Identify, lead, document and implement continuous improvements of the Test Fleet Engineer role and processes
