Test Manager

About the role

This is a Test Manager position responsible for defining appropriate Functional and Automated Test Strategy for projects, ensuring product testability, and overseeing quality assurance deliverables.

Qualifications

• At least graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or any related course.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Test Manager.
• Extensive experience in Test Cases Creation and Analysis.
• Extensive experience in Manual (black box, white box, etc.) and Automated testing (Selemium Web driver, Test Complete, or desired tools).
• Extensive experience in defect reporting and monitoring.
• Extensive knowledge in database skills mainly in MySQL. Another database server is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge in programming languages like PHP and Java is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge in Agile Methodologies.
• Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise and handle a team
• Must have a “test to break” mentality.
• Must have strong analytical skills, highly detailed and process-oriented.
• Must have strong communication and presentation skills in English and Filipino.
• Must have strong business/client engagement skills.
• Must be assertive, results-oriented, and able to multitask.
• Must possess strong negotiation skills.
• Must be adept to work in a fast-paced environment with tight SLAs.

Job Description

• Defines the appropriate Functional and Automated Test Strategy for the project.
• Participates in reviewing the business user and product requirements, and application design to ensure testability of the product.
• Tracks and reports testing activities, including testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, performance baselines, and others.
• Ensures content and structure of all testing documents are documented and maintained.
• Issues SQA Certificate to signify or prove that the application is in defect-free status.
• Performs Test Strategy and Test Cases Review.
• Handles and manages SQA stage deployment and repositories.
• Provides an accurate status report to the project manager.
• Participates in SQA Task Estimation and Risk Analysis on Technical/Project Proposals.
• Reviews the quality of the team deliverables and ensuring team tasks are completed on time and budget.
• Oversees and manages all SQA deliverables for each project.
• Formulates and manages initiatives to increase the skills, quality & efficiency of the team.
• Participate in process standardization and/or improvement on SQA related tasks.
• Other job-related activities that may be assigned from time to time.
