Global Test Manager – AMOS | Aviation

Location: Brussels, Belgium – 100% Onsite

Contract: Contractor – Full-Time

Duration: 12 Months

Travel: Approximately 30%

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Global Test Manager to join a major international transformation program within the aviation industry .

The successful candidate will lead the testing strategy, execution, governance, and quality assurance activities for the global implementation of AMOS , an aircraft maintenance and engineering management system, across multiple airline operations.

This is a senior, business-facing role requiring close collaboration with airline business users, Process Leads, Product Owners, implementation partners, technical teams, and program leadership .

The program follows a Waterfall delivery methodology , with a strong focus on User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business process validation, integration and regression testing within a complex COTS implementation .

The Test Manager will also play a key role in cutover preparation, go-live rehearsals, deployment readiness, post-go-live triage, and stabilization .

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the global test strategy, planning, governance, and execution .
• Manage UAT, integration, regression, performance, and end-to-end business process testing .
• Coordinate distributed test teams and airline business users participating in UAT .
• Establish testing standards, quality gates, defect management processes, KPIs, and reporting.
• Work closely with Process, Data Migration, Interface, Training, Product, and Program Management teams to ensure complete test coverage.
• Manage test execution, defect resolution, risks, dependencies, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and coordinate cutover testing and operational readiness activities .
• Lead go-live rehearsals, deployment readiness assessments, and post-go-live triage .
• Provide senior stakeholders with clear reporting on test progress, quality metrics, defects, risks, and readiness .
• Drive continuous improvement across testing and quality management practices.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software, system, and/or business testing.
• Minimum 3+ years as a Test Manager, Test Lead, or equivalent testing leadership role .
• Proven experience leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business process validation.
• Experience within large-scale enterprise transformation or global system implementation programs .
• Strong knowledge of test governance, defect management, test planning, quality assurance, and reporting .
• Hands-on experience with test management tools such as qTest, Tricentis, HP ALM, TestRail, or equivalent .
• ISTQB certification .
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including interaction with senior business and technical stakeholders.
• Excellent written and spoken English .
• Minimum 2 years of aviation industry experience or experience within a closely related operational environment.
• Ability and willingness to work 100% onsite in Diegem, Belgium and travel approximately 30% .

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AMOS (Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering System) implementations or transformations.
• Knowledge of aviation Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) and airline maintenance processes.
• Experience with system migrations, particularly Trax-to-AMOS migration or transition programs .
• Experience with qTest / Tricentis and Jira .
• Exposure to global airline operations, maintenance, engineering, or MRO environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Engineering, Aviation, or a related discipline .
• Dutch, French, or German language skills are an advantage.
