Test Manager

We are currently looking for an experienced Test Manager to take ownership of testing strategy, quality assurance and test coordination within a large organisation.

The role combines strategic responsibility with hands-on involvement in major change programmes, working closely with IT, development and business teams.

The role

As Test Manager, you will:

• Define and implement the organisation-wide testing strategy and quality framework.
• Further develop testing processes, standards and ways of working.
• Establish guidelines around test automation and ensure testing tools are used effectively.
• Introduce and promote best practices across testing and quality assurance.
• Coach and support Quality Engineers and business testers.
• Work closely with technical and business stakeholders across multiple teams.
• Define and manage the testing approach for major transformation and change projects.
• Ensure software quality across application changes, new products, regulatory requirements and the introduction of new external partners.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, automation and overall quality assurance.

What we're looking for

• Master's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years' experience in software testing, including complex enterprise-level testing programmes.
• Strong Dutch and English communication skills.
• Solid experience with test automation, including implementing, improving or managing automation frameworks.
• Good knowledge of testing methodologies such as ISTQB and/or TMAP.
• Experience with testing and monitoring tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail, Xray, Dynatrace or similar.
• Familiarity with test data management.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Good understanding of APIs, data structures and SQL.
• Experience developing testing strategies and approaches within software development and transformation projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Comfortable coaching colleagues and working across multidisciplinary teams.
• Able to operate independently in an environment where processes and structures are still developing.

We're looking for someone who can operate at both strategic and operational level, someone who can define the overall testing approach but also work closely with teams to make sure it is successfully delivered.

You should be comfortable taking ownership, challenging existing processes and introducing more efficient and effective ways of working.
