Tester / QA Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of testers for ETL data warehouse and BI projects
• Develop test strategies, QA frameworks, and maintain best practices
• Oversee test planning, estimation, and resource allocation
• Review and approve test plans, test cases, and scenarios
• Monitor testing progress and provide regular stakeholder updates
• Manage defect tracking and resolution across teams
• Coordinate with developers, business users, and stakeholders
• Establish KPIs and metrics for testing effectiveness
• Mentor team members and drive professional development
• Manage UAT activities and client relationships
• Conduct performance reviews and skill assessments
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies
• Ensure compliance with data quality and governance standards
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines

Mandatory Skills

• Data Testing (ETL, BI validation)
• ETL Concepts and methodologies
• Python for Data Testing and automation
• Advanced SQL and database management
• Test management tools (ALM, JIRA)
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and frameworks

Secondary Skills

• Qlik (QlikView, Qlik Sense) testing and validation
• Test automation frameworks and strategies
• BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI)
• Data governance and compliance knowledge
• Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Testing certifications (ISTQB, CSTE)
• Experience managing offshore/onshore QA teams
