Testing and Commissioning Engineer

#Hiring We're looking for a 【Testing & Commissioning Engineer】 for our Passenger Heavy Maintenance Facility Project located in 【Rahayel, Abu Dhabi】

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute pre-commissioning, testing and commissioning works for electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, instrumentation and related MEP services.
• Prepare detailed test plans, commissioning procedures, method statements and checklists in line with project specifications, SANS, IEC, NEC and UAE local standards.
• Conduct site inspections, functional testing, performance testing and system integration testing to verify system functionality, safety and compliance.
• Monitor site installation quality, identify defects, raise non-conformance reports, and coordinate with site engineers and subcontractors for rectification and re-testing.
• Attend client and consultant inspections, witness testing activities, and resolve technical queries during the commissioning phase.
• Compile, verify and submit complete commissioning documentation, test reports, as-built records and handover packages for project final completion and defects liability period closure.
• Ensure all testing and commissioning activities are carried out in full compliance with site HSE policies and safety regulations.
• Track commissioning progress, update project schedules, and report progress, delays and technical issues to the project management team regularly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, MEP or relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ technical management experience, with at least 3 years in the UAE
• In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, testing procedures, commissioning workflows and UAE municipal & safety regulations. - Familiar with international engineering standards including IEC, NEC, ASHRAE and local UAE project codes.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose system faults and provide effective technical solutions on-site.
• Excellent documentation skills, capable of preparing professional test reports, commissioning dossiers and handover documents independently.
• Fluent in English (spoken & written)
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities on fast-paced project sites
