Testing and Quality Engineer

A. Research & Development (R&D)

• Support the development, testing, and validation of new battery packs for electric two-wheelers.
• Assist in evaluating battery cells, modules, battery packs, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and associated electrical components.
• Conduct comparative studies of battery cells, pack designs, and technical specifications to support product improvement.
• Work closely with the R&D, Design, Production, Quality, and BMS teams during new product development.
• Support prototype development, sample evaluation, and design verification activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve battery performance, energy efficiency, durability, and reliability.

B. Battery Testing & Validation

• Conduct battery pack testing, including capacity, voltage, current, charging, discharging, and energy efficiency tests.
• Perform cycle life testing to evaluate battery performance and degradation over repeated charge-discharge cycles.
• Conduct thermal performance testing and monitor battery temperature under different operating conditions.
• Perform functional testing and validation of BMS parameters, including cell voltage monitoring, temperature monitoring, overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, and short-circuit protection.
• Conduct vibration, mechanical shock, environmental, and ingress protection (IP) testing as applicable to the product and approved test plan.
• Evaluate battery performance under different load conditions and operating temperatures.
• Support testing of battery charging systems, connectors, wiring harnesses, and protection circuits.
• Execute Design Verification and Validation (DV&V) activities according to approved test plans and acceptance criteria.
• Investigate battery failures, abnormal heating, capacity loss, voltage imbalance, and other performance-related issues.
• Ensure testing is conducted using approved procedures, calibrated instruments, and appropriate safety precautions.

C. Data Analysis & Documentation

• Record, analyze, and interpret battery test data using MS Excel and relevant data acquisition tools.
• Prepare detailed test reports, validation reports, test summaries, and technical documentation.
• Maintain battery test history, cycle life records, failure logs, and validation documentation.
• Compare actual test results against design specifications and customer requirements.
• Perform root cause analysis of test failures and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Present test findings and recommendations to the R&D and engineering teams.

D. Quality, Compliance & Safety

• Support compliance testing as per applicable AIS, CMVR, and other relevant EV battery standards and regulations.
• Assist in preparing documentation for applicable certification and third-party laboratory testing.
• Follow battery handling, storage, charging, discharging, and disposal procedures.
• Ensure safe operation of battery cyclers, DC power supplies, electronic loads, environmental chambers, and other laboratory equipment.
• Follow EHS guidelines and established procedures for managing thermal runaway, electrical hazards, and battery-related emergencies.
• Maintain proper laboratory housekeeping and ensure test equipment is calibrated and maintained.

Pay: ₹26,000.00 - ₹1,080,000.00 per month
