What they need

About Heart Saver NZ

Heart Saver NZ is a proudly New Zealand owned business with a clear purpose - equipping workplaces, homes and communities with the products, tools and knowledge to save lives in medical emergencies.

We work across AED (defibrillator) sales, testing, first aid and other related training, and medical emergency solutions nationwide.

We’re a hands-on, fast-moving business that values initiative, adaptability, professionalism and great customer relationships. Our team is passionate about what we do because the work genuinely matters.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for an additional Testing & Training Facilitator to strengthen our Auckland team.

The role

  • This is a varied, people-focused role combining:
  • Medical equipment testing and compliance activities
  • First aid and related training delivery
  • Customer relationship management

No two days are the same.

One day you may be travelling to customer sites completing AED testing, compliance activities, installations and product demonstrations, while on another you may be delivering workplace first aid or related training sessions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being out on the road, working directly with customers, managing testing and compliance responsibilities, solving problems, and representing a business that genuinely makes a difference.

The role involves up to 10 days per month of national travel outside of Auckland.

You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team where everyone contributes across multiple areas of the business. We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised, adaptable and confident working independently.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete annual performance verification testing and compliance activities for medical equipment
  • Deliver first aid and related training courses to workplace and community groups
  • Install, commission and demonstrate products onsite
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build strong client relationships
  • Promote and identify opportunities for additional products and services while onsite with customers
  • Maintain accurate records, reporting and customer information within our CRM systems
  • Travel nationally as required up to 10 days per month outside of Auckland

About you

We are looking for someone who combines strong people skills with practical capability and professionalism.

You may come from a background such as:

  • First aid training
  • Emergency services
  • Healthcare or nursing
  • Medical field services
  • Health & safety
  • Customer training or facilitation

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Experience delivering training or facilitating groups confidently
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A high level of organisation and self-management
  • The ability to work independently and use initiative
  • A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
  • Confidence using systems and technology
  • A willingness and ability to travel nationally (up to 10 days per month outside of Auckland)
  • A full, clean New Zealand driver licence

Experience within the medical, emergency response or health & safety sectors is advantageous, but not essential.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone with the right attitude, professionalism and willingness to learn.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary package
  • Company vehicle, laptop and mobile phone
  • Full training and support
  • A diverse and meaningful role with real variety
  • A supportive, family-oriented team environment
  • Opportunity to grow with a business that is continuing to evolve and expand
  • The chance to genuinely make a difference through the work you do

Why join Heart Saver?

We’ve built our reputation by staying practical, responsive and customer-focused.

We are not a heavily corporate environment with layers of bureaucracy. We work closely as a team, support each other, and take pride in delivering high standards while still enjoying what we do.

If you are someone who enjoys meaningful work, thrives in a dynamic environment, and wants to be part of a business with purpose, we would love to hear from you.

Please apply with your CV and a short cover letter outlining your experience and why this opportunity interests you.
