Testing Consultant

Our higher education partner is looking for an experienced Testing Consultant to review current testing practices and establish a standardized framework for testing types, ownership, responsibilities, documentation, and evidence across Business, Technology, and vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Review current testing practices and identify gaps, overlaps, and risks.
• Define testing types, their purpose, and when they should be used.
• Establish clear ownership for test creation, execution, review, and approval.
• Define testing documentation, evidence, and pass/fail standards.
• Develop a Testing Strategy & Approach Playbook and standardized ownership model.
• Recommend improvements around testing methodologies, automation, tooling, and resources.
• Collaborate with PMO, IT, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience across functional, system, technical, and non-functional testing.
• Background in QA, test governance, process improvement, automation, and test data management.
• Experience defining testing roles, responsibilities, standards, and documentation.
• Strong stakeholder, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience developing a Testing Strategy/Approach, Testing CoE, or managing a testing function.
