Testing QA Engineer Senior

About the role

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring software quality through comprehensive test planning, test design, execution, defect management, and reporting activities. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet business and customer expectations. The role demands working knowledge of test automation concepts and tools, with hands-on experience in Java-based automation frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive test planning, test design, execution, defect management, and reporting activities
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet business and customer expectations
• Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases
• Execute manual test cases and validate application functionality against defined requirements
• Conduct end-to-end business process validation across integrated systems to ensure complete functional coverage and data integrity
• Review and validate test cases, test evidence, and defect quality to improve overall testing effectiveness and coverage
• Support test planning, test estimation, and testing status reporting for small to medium-sized projects and releases
• Manage the complete defect lifecycle, including defect identification, logging, tracking, retesting, and closure
• Handle change requests, impact assessments, and regression testing activities
• Design and implement scalable automation frameworks and integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines

About you

• Graduate/Post Graduate with technical background
• 5-10 years of automation consulting experience across multiple platforms and varied domains
• At least 5 years of experience in test automation
• Mandatory experience in the Insurance domain, with Guidewire Property & Casualty (P&C) expertise considered a strong advantage
• Strong understanding of Software Testing Fundamentals, QA methodologies, testing processes, and industry best practices
• Hands-on experience in Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support
• Working knowledge of test automation concepts and frameworks, with exposure to tools such as Java Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and RestAssured
• Experience in Playwright is an added advantage
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and testing activities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate concisely and clearly
